Otara Town Centre has 33 food retail outlets available for local people to choose from when purchasing food. However, within these outlets, the provision of healthy foods is limited and there’s an overwhelming supply of high fat, high sugar fast food.
Otara Healthy Kai aims to contribute towards a healthier Otara by ensuring the Otara Town Centre provides consumers with the opportunity and education to access safe and healthy food options that are high in nutritional value. THO also supports the Healthy Kai projects in Mangere and Glen Innes Town Centres.
Look for the Healthy Kai logo at any of the participating outlets in the town centres.
