Te Awhi Tangata

THO has one ETHC clinic based in Glen Innes.  As a result there is a need to ensure that the enrolled population in Glen Innes has access to opportunities that support the uptake of physical activity.

Te Awhi Tangata is a modified Green Prescription programme managed and coordinated by Sport Auckland with additional programme partners including Auckland City Council, ProCare and Ngati Whatua O Orakei Community Health Services.  Participants are also able to access regular information sessions led by experts providing the most current information regarding specific health and wellness issues.

The provision of funding will support the delivery and coordination of this programme and will ensure that the enrolled population for THO have access to activities.

In addition, the provision of a follow up system will be refined to ensure that THO enrollees are attend where appropriate and possible.
