Total Healthcare Otara is committed to improving the total well-being of its’ enrolled Māori population.

It is envisaged that Total Healthcare Otara’s Māori Health Plan will address the key health issues afflicting the wider Māori community and deliver a unique service to them that will meet their needs as prescribed by the ‘Whānau Ora Plan’, recently released by the Counties Manukau District Health Board.

THO’s Māori Health Plan aims to:

• Develop a plan that encompasses and meets the needs of the enrolled Māori population
• Recognize that the plan is not unique, but rather works within the current plans and strategies for THO’s enrolled population and
• Identify those aspects that are relevant to Māori and how Māori can be served within the current plans for THO’s enrolled population.
